Vadodara, June 7 (UNI) Even as Aamir Khan starrer 'Fanaa' faces a ban in Gujarat for his alleged stand on the Narmada dam project, a young Delhi-based director-cum-producer is contemplating to shoot a documentary film in Gujarat with Aamir as its anchor.

Siddharth Khanna, who is here to see the locations for his proposed documentary film on 'Chandod', a famous place of pilgrimage in Vadodara, said on his return to Mumbai, he would request Aamir to do the anchoring of the film despite the current row over release of 'Fanaa' over the actor's remarks on the dam issue.

Although the young producer does not agree with Aamir's stand on the Narmada dam project, he is optimistic about his participation and support to his 45-minute documentary film aimed at giving the pilgrimage, located on the bank of the holy Narmada river, its due recognition and help promote tourism in the State.

Khanna, who visited the holy place recently on an invitation from Union Minister of Railways Naran Rathwa's son Sangram Rathwa, told UNI that, ''I am impressed with the religious importance of the place for being the 'triveni sangam' of the Narmada, the Saraswati and the Mahi, and its scenic beauty and temple architecture in and around Chandod.'' Khanna, who has two regional and several advertisement films to his credit, said he was ready start shooting for the documentary in the next fortnight provided speedy approval was obtained from the Gujarat government. The documentary, which is to be shown in different film festivals and other media, would go a long way in bringing more domestic and international tourists to the place, he hoped.
