Chirag fires 65 for sole lead at South India Amateur Golf

Bangalore, June 7(UNI) Chirag Kumar carded a second round of five-under 65 to take sole lead at the South India Amateur Golf Championship played at the par-70 course here today.

Kumar's tournament tally stands at seven-under 133.

Anirban Lahiri fired a round of three-under 67 for a two-day tally of 136 to occupy the second position. Meanwhile, overnight leader Shaurya Singh returned a card of two-over 72 to slip to third position with a combined tally of two-under 138.

The trio of Manav Jaini, Jasjeet Singh and Gaganjeet Bhullar were tied at fourth spot with a score of 139 after two rounds.

The cut was applied at 15-over155, with only 40 players plus ties making it for the deciding rounds.
