BJP demands white paper on petrol price hike
Hyderabad, June 7 (UNI) The BJP today demanded a white paper on the hike in the prices of petroleum and diesel.
In a statement, BJP Legislature Party leader G Kishen Reddy alleged that while the Centre hiked the price of petroleum by Rs 4 per litre, the state government collected an additional tax of 47 paise per litre.
He demanded the state government to immediately reduce the tax on petroleum products.
The BJP staged a 'road roko' in the Kukatpalli area in the outskirts of the city. The traffic on National Highway nine came to a stand still.
Party leaders said the agitation would continue till the Centre rolls back the prices.
