Barclays Corporate Soccer 5s tourney on June 10-11

Mumbai, June 7 (UNI) The Barclays Corporate Soccer 5s 2006 tournament, which was scheduled to be held on June 3 and 4, will now be held at the Cooperage on June 10 and 11.

A release issued here today by the sponsors stated that 60 teams have confirmed participation and will vie for top honours.

This time, women's teams will also be participating to add to the flavour of the tournament.

The tournament had earlier been postponed due to the inclement weather.

The matches will be played on a league cum knock-out basis with teams vying for the Super Cup, Champions Cup, Salver and Bowl.

Among the corporates, Citibank, Morgan Stanley, Cadbury, Deutsche Bank, MTV and Travelex among others will take part in the tournament.

Special rules have been structured to ensure that the matches, though competitive, are fun with the size of the field being small and there being no off side, the release added.
