4 die, 38 hurt in bus mishap

Shajapur, MP, Jun 7 (UNI) Four pilgrims were killed and 38 injured when a private bus, carrying them from this district to Badrinath, plunged into Kangda Ghat at about 1830 hrs today in Uttaranchal's Rudraprayag district, police said today.

Quoting preliminary reports, Superintendent of Police Asha Mathur said here, ''The ghat is about 10 km from Joshimath. The victims, who began a month-long pilgrimage on May 15, are yet to be identified. We are in touch with Uttaranchal Police.'' UNI XC-AC VD HT2302
