Youth must be aware of the RTI Act: Baichung

Kohima, June 6 (UNI) National football captain Baichung Bhutia said today the youth must be aware of the Right to Information (RTI) Act.

Speaking at a seminar on 'Right to Information Act' organized by the Naga Students Federation(NSF) and Nagaland chapter of 'Youth Net' here today, Mr Bhutia said the RTI Act is the biggest opportunity for all the citizens of the country to stop corruptions in various levels of the government.

The ace footballer also appealed to the youths to practise their favourite games as the North Eastern region has potential in many sports, specially in football.

NSF president Phushika Aomi said the RTI is the biggest 'weapon' of the people.

Youth Net secretary Hekali Zakhaly spoke on the salient features of the RTI Act and explained its advantages.
