World Cup Soccer Diary released

New Delhi, Jun 6 (UNI) All you wanted to know about the FIFA World Cup has been compressed into a 35-page ready-reckoner.

The colour full book contains the record of the World Cup since 1930 and has comprehansive information abot the 32-teams taking part in 2006 World Cup starting in Germany from June 9.

This unique encyclopedia on the soccer World Cup, compiled by veteran football administrator Hem Chand was released here this evening at a simple but impressive function attended by several past and present players.

Though this is the eighth edition of the soccer diary, but this is the third time that it is exclusively focused on the 'Greatest show on Earth'.

Apart from the names of players of all the 32 participating teams, the soccer diary profiles the 32-coaches and has some other intresting cup related trivia.

''The diary is very comprehansive and is a must for the soccer lovers,'' said Senior Indian Olympic Association (IOA) official H J Dora who released the diary along with union minister of state for home Manik Rao Gavit.
