TTD to celebrate float festival

Tirupati, June 6: Tirumala Tirupati Devasthanams(TTD) would celebrate the 'Teppotsavam'(Float Festival) of Sri Padmavathi Ammavaru for five days from tomorrow at Tiruchanoor, near here.

On June seven, the processional idol of Sri Krishnaswamy and on June eight, Sri Sundararaja Swamy will be taken out on boat for a ride.

An idol of goddess Padmavathi Devi will be taken out on a decorated boat ride on the remaining three days.

TTD would arrange cultural, devotional programmes and religious discourses during the five days festival, a TTD press release said here today.
