SVU ink MoU with CLRI

Tirupati, June 6 (UNI) Sri Venkateswara University(SVU) has signed a Memorandum of Understanding(MoU) with Chennai-based Central Leather Research Institute(CLRI) for mutual cooperation in academic and research activities here today .

SVU Vice Chancellor S Jayarama Reddy said that the agreement would be a milestone in the history of the Varsity as it would help develop the research sector.

CLRI Director T Ramaswamy praised the vision of the Vice Chancellor and said the SVU was bound to reach greater heights under his direction.

Mr Ramaswamy said the Leather Industry was under-developed and needed advanced research and modern technology for its development and growth.
