Spacial observations - Developing countries targeted: Kalam

Written by: Staff

Bangalore, June 6 (UNI) Alleging that some of the developing nations which were already in terrorists' radar have been singularly chosen for providing spatial observations online, President A P J Abdul Kalam today urged the 37th All India Police Science Congress to discuss the issue and come up with possible solutions.

Inaugurating the Congress here, he noted that earth observations by Google Earth were freely available on the internet.

The President acknowledged that specific laws in some countries regarding spatial observations over their territory and UN recommendations about its display were ''inadequate''.
