'Select Technologies' second Himachal unit starts production

Chandigarh, June 6 (UNI) Select Technologies, a subsidiary of WeP Peripherals Limited, has started production and rolled out first batch of printers from its second factory at Baddi in Himachal Pradesh.

On the occasion, Operations and Exports General Manager Nagarjuna presented the first printer to Mr Nainta, Director of Industries, Himachal Pradesh.

Mr Nagarjuna said, ''The first plant in Nalagarh, started in early 2004, has achieved a landmark by manufacturing 50,000 dot matrix printers in last financial year,'' it has plans to manufacture do 100,000 units this year,'' he added.

About WeP Peripherals, he said, ''It is one of the largest employee-owned company in the country, providing IT peripherals products, IT peripherals solutions and printing services.'' He informed that WeP has diversified from printer into other emerging and growing IT peripherals products like Un-interruptible Power Supplies (UPS), Network Security Products, Modems and specialized Printing service.

WeP has 19 offices and three manufacturing plants in India, he added.
