Security tightened in Jammu region for Amarnath yatra

Jammu, June 6 (UNI) Security arrangements have been tightened in Jammu region in the wake of the coming Amarnath yatra, offcial sources said here today.

The sources said Deputy Inspector General of police (DIG) Jammu-Kathua range Miyaz Mehboob has deputed two Superintendents of Police (SP) and as many Deputy Superintendents (DSP) on special duty to oversee the security arrangements during the pilgrimage. These temporary arrangments have been made to strengthen the police with other security agencies for the coming Amarnath yatra, the sources aaded.
