Saudi businessman plays 'Superman' to Indians in trouble
Dubai, June 6 (UNI) A Saudi businessman, who is in love with India and Indians, did what he has always done whenever an Indian gets jailed on charges of causing accidents. He gets them released after making payments from his personal funds.
In the latest such case, Mr Abdullah Al-Nahadh flew from Riyadh to another town, Jizan, to secure the release of K Mohammed, a driver who was jailed for causing an accident. Mr Mohammed's truck had hit a Yemeni who was severely injured and went into coma.
Mr Al-Nahadh, a 1994 alumnus of Aligarh Muslim University, flew Mr Mohammed back to Riyadh on Sunday after securing his release.
Speaking to the Arab News Mr Al-Nahadh, who had also secured the release of four Indians in similar circumstances recently, said, ''I like Indians very much. They are a hard working and peace-loving people.'' He added he would always extend such help to Indians in genuine cases.
