Punj Lloyd JV wins contract for Dabhol LNG terminal

Mumbai, June 6 (UNI) Punj Lloyd Ltd with its partner Whessoe UK, has been awarded the US 93.02 million dollars contract for the completion of the Dabhol LNG terminal by Ratnagiri gas and Power Pvt Ltd.

The contract, which in rupee term works out to Rs 428 crore, constitutes the package for completion of balance works of the LNG terminal and top of the jetty facilities for Ratnagiri (Dabhol) LNG Terminal project, said a Punj Lloyd press release here.

The scheduled time for completion of the project is within 13 months from the date of contract, the release said.

''We are proud of the fact that the project, which had been abandoned five years ago, has been awarded back to us and we endeavour to complete it in record time. With this, Punj Lloyd will be the only Indian company to have participated in the execution of all the three LNG terminals in the country. This project will also add value to our order book,'' said Atul Punj, Chairman and Managing Director of the company.
