PETA activists demonstrate against KFC outside the restaurant

Mumbai, June 6 (UNI) The People for Ethical Treatment of Animals (PETA) today gathered outside the Kentucky Fried Chicken (KFC) outlet to demonstrate against them for treating the chickens in a very pathetic and abusive manner.

According to Co-ordinator for PETA N G Jayasimha, the KFC suppliers and slaughterers put chickens through hell on earth. He said, ''We don't need a devil for doing wrong things. We humans are inherently the devils ourselves,'' he said referring the treatment of the chickens.

According to PETA, KFC supplier's drug and breed chickens to grow large and the creatures get crippled as they cannot hold such large upper bodies. Also, their method of slaughtering is very cruel and despite PETA bringing this to the KFC's notice, the issue has been ignored by them.

As a large crowd gathered outside KFC on Link Road bandra in suburban Mumbai today at noon, PETA members had one young member dressed up as a saucy satan leading the protest.
