Patient runs away from hospital, dies at JIPMER

Pondicherry, Jun 6 (UNI) A patient who ran away from the government general hospital here fainted and died on admission to the JIPMER Hospital here today.

According to police, Saravanan (33) of Karuvadikuppam, near here, consumed arrack mixed with poison to commit sucide following a quarrel with his wife. He was later admitted to the government general hospital.

When he regained conciousness, Saravanan ran away from the hospital and fainted on the road near Saram. He was admitted to the JIPMER Hospital by his friends. However, he could not be saved.
