Panchayat elections in Pangi on June 12 and 14

Shimla, June 6 (UNI) Panchayat elections in the tribal Pangi tehsil of Chamba district of Himachal Pradesh will be held in two phases on June 12 and 14, Pangi SDM Kishore Katoch said today.

Sixty-six candidates are in the fray for the 16 posts of pradhan, while 177 candidates were contesting elections for 86 ward panch, he said at a programme at Killar.

Mr Katoch said 45 candidates were contesting elections for 15 Panchayat Samiti Members, while there were four candidates for the Zila Parishad, which was reserved for women.
