Naidu offers to meet medical expenses of accident victim
Chennai, Jun 6 (UNI) Bharathiya Janata Party (BJP) senior leader M Venkaiah Naidu has offered to meet the medical expenses of one Ravi, who fractured his leg when he was hit by his car in Pondicherry yesterday.
The victim was crossing the road in an inebriated condition, when the mishap occured, Mr Naidu said, adding he immediately rushed him to the Pondicherry Institute of Medical Sciences, where he was operated upon.
Talking to newspersons here, Mr Naidu said he had visited him in the hospital and assured his family members that he would bear the medical expenses.
As his driver applied the brake suddenly, his car was hit from behind by the escort vehicle, but he escaped unhurt, Mr Naidu said.
