Guna, MP, June 6 (UNI) Congress General Secretary Digvijay Singh today alleged the Madhya Pradesh Governments decision to abandon two-child norm for election to local bodies has been taken "under pressure of the RSS".

Mr Singh told reporters here the decision had been taken after "RSS chief K S Sudarshan declared the restriction as inappropriate".

He said the decision would affect "awareness that has come with regards to population control in the state." Reversing a decision taken during the previous Congress rule, the Madhya Pradesh government yesterday decided to abandon the two child norm for the elected functionaries of panchayats, urban bodies, Krishi Mandis and cooperative bodies.
