MP Govt cancelling leases alloted to poor people: Jamuna

Guna, MP, June 6 (UNI) Madhya Pradesh Assembly Opposition Leader Jamuna Devi has alleged that the land lease allotted to poor and weaker sections during the Congress regime were being cancelled without any reason.

In a statement here yesterday, Ms Devi said the forest department has informed in its administrative report that the department had cancelled 7,693 agricultural leases, 11 mining leases and 54 residential leases in 2005-06.

''The department is cancelling unamended leases in the land records thereby creating problem of livelihood before thousands of people. The process of cancelling 22,000 land records is underway,'' she alleged.
