Lapang, the best person to handle: Kyndia

Shillong, Jun 6 (UNI) In a respite to Chief Minister D D Lapang(Cong) facing rebellion from his party MLAs, Union DONER Minister P R Kyndiah tonight said it was not a crisis at all adding Mr Lapang is the best person to handle the situation in Meghalaya.

Talking to UNI here, Mr Kyndia, an MP from Shillong, said,'' Mr Lapang was confident to handle sudden political crisis triggered folowing last night's open challenge from majority of party MLA demanding for change of leadership.'' Mr Kyndiah said that the whole political develepment was raked up mainly due to misunderstanding between the rebel legislators and the Chief Minister.

The Union Minister said that he is ready to meet the Congress MLAs to sort out the misunderstanding.

''My door is always open for everyone'', he added.

Former Meghalaya Home Minister Robert G Lyngdoh today blamed Chief Minsiter D D Lapang for the political turmoil in the party.

''Mr. Lapang has created the turmoil by misleading his own legislators,'' Lyngdoh said.
