Bangalore, June 6 (UNI) Karnataka Badminton Association (KBA) will send a coach to Malaysia to learn the nuances of training children at the school level, KBA Secretary K P Vasanth Kumar said today.

Speaking to newspersons here, he said Malaysia boasted of a good school badminton culture and was an ideal place to learn the process involved in imparting the right basics to the beginners.

The association had formed an eight-member Badminton Development Committee to run the entire badminton affairs in the State. This was done on a suggestion given by former All England Open winner Prakash Padukone. The committee would also act as selection committee for selecting the state teams both in junior and senior levels.

A separate corpus fund had been provided for the development of the sport in the State, with special emphasis on the districts. KBA would extend necessary help to district associations to build infrastructure in their respective districts, he said.
