Guj BJP to stop rails against fuel price hike
Ahmedabad, June 6: The Gujarat Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) has decided to block the railway services for one hour in the State tomorrow to protest the Centre's decision to hike the petrol and diesel prices.
A spokesperson of the State BJP unit said party president Vajubhai Vala will lead the agitation and block the railway services between 1000 hrs and 1100 hrs tomorrow in all seven major cities of the State.
The spokesperson said BJP workers will stop the rail services at Ahmedabad, Surat, Vadadora, Rajkot, Bhavnagar, Junagadh and Jamnagar, to express their resentment over the hike in prices.
Prices of petrol in Ahmedabad have gone up by Rs 4.32 and diesel by Rs 2.29 per litre following the Government's decision and now are ruling at an all-time high, the spokesperson said.
