Eight killed, five seriously injured in road accident

Hyderabad, June 6 (UNI) Eight people were killed and five critically injured when an autorickshaw was hit by a state-owned Road Transport Corporation (APSRTC) bus near Gandipet cross road on the city outskirts today.

Police said the accident took place when some people were coming in the auto after visiting Chilkuru Balaji temple, while the bus was going to Tandur from Hyderabad.

Six people were killed on the spot and two succumbed to their injuries on the way to hospital.

The injured were admitted to a Corporate hospital in Jubilee Hills.

The deceased belonged to Hyderabad, police added.
