Trains delayed due to rail problem

Chennai, June 6: The arrival of four trains in Chennai Central were delayed by 30 minutes to one hour early this morning following a rail fracture between Ennore and Tiruvottriyur stations of the Southern Railway.

Government Railway Police sources told UNI here that the fracture was detected around 0300 hrs and it was rectified at 0335 hrs.

Following this, the arrival of Gorakhpur-Trivandraum express, Dhanbad-Alleppey express, Howrah-Chennai express and a suburban EMU train from Gummidipoondi to Chennai were delayed by about 30 minutes to half an hour.
