Construction work on Mughal Road in J
Srinagar, June 6 (UNI) The construction work on the historic Mughal Road, an alternate link between Jammu and Srinagar, is in full swing, an official spokesman said today.
He said about 18 km stretch from Bafliaz side in Poonch has been made motorable and will soon be extended to Peer Ki Gali at 44 km.
The construction work on 13.5 km from the Shopian side was also under progress, the spokesman added.
He said the project officials were in close contact with the people in the forest department, pollution control board and others to sort out the problems and help speed up the pace of the construction work.
The matters related to pollution control were recently discussed at the Empowered Committee meeting which expressed satisfaction on the pace of the road construction work, the spokesman added.
