Cong leaders lock horns on Reliance issue
Chandigarh, Jun 6 (UNI) Haryana Irrigation and Revenue Minister Ajay Singh Yadav today took exception to Congress MP Kuldip Bishnoi's criticism of the Hooda government on the issue of setting up of a Special Economic Zone (SEZ).
In a statement issued here Mr Yadav said Kuldeep Bishnoi was trying to tarnish the Congress image by issuing ''irresponsible statements'' time and again against the government.
He said if Mr Bishnoi, who is son of state Congress president Bhajan Lal, had any grievance with or difference of opinion on the government functioning, he should have raised his voice at the party forum only.
The track record of Mr Bishnoi showed that he had not been attending the Parliament Session during the past two years and had never raised issues for the betterment of the people of Haryana for which he was elected by the electorate of Bhiwani Parliamentary Constituency, Mr Yadav alleged.
''Mr Bishnoi is playing political gimmicks just for gaining cheap popularity,'' he added.
The MP, he alleged, seemed to be frustrated and ''hand in glove with the opposition as he always issues statements ''in tune with them.'' He made it clear that complete transparency had been maintained while executing MoU with the Reliance Industries on the SEZ and the land had been given to him on prescribed rates.
He urged the Congress high command and Mr Bhajan Lal to restrain Mr Bishnoi who was ''creating indiscipline in the party.
