Chautala group sends entry for Guwahati National Games

Chandigarh, Jun 6 (UNI) The Abhey Chautala faction of the Haryana Olympic Association has sent a provisional entry for the National Games to be held in Guwahati from October 5 to 14.

According to HOA secretary general Dr Mahinder Singh Malik, more than 400 sportspersons of Haryana will take part in the National Games.

The HOA has sent entries in archery, athletics, boxing, cycling, equestrian, fencing, gymnastics, handball, judo, hockey, kabaddi, net ball, shooting, rowing, volleyball, weightlifting and wrestling.

Malik has already directed the concerned state associations to start preparation of players for the Guwahati National Games. The HOA (Abhey Group) has also requested the Haryana Sports Department to provide all facilities for coaching camps and sending the state contingent to Guwahati.

Meanwhile, H S Bhadu, joint secretary and HOA Director, has been appointed chief-de-mission of the Haryana contingent.
