BJP Kisan Morcha conclave at Allahabad tomorrow
Allahabad, June 6 (UNI) A two-day working committee meeting of BJP Kisan Morcha (KM) will be inaugurated by leader of the opposition in Uttar Pradesh assembly Lalji Tandon here tomorrow.
BJP national spokesman Prakash Javedkar, KM president Vinod Pandey and other party leaders will address the meeting.
Senior party leader and former union minister Dr Murli Manohar Joshi will be the chief guest on the concluding day on June 8.
Delegates will discuss various issues including exodus of farmers to cities, closure of sugarmills, increase in the member of slaughter houses and other problems related to agriculture and labourers.
Talking to newspersons here, BJP state unit president Keshri Nath Tripathi alleged that there was total anarchy in Uttar Pradesh.
''Terrorist attacks on Hindu religious places continue, while mafia is ruling the roost in real estate and education fields.'' Mr Tripathi lamented that marginal and small farmers were leaving agriculture and moving towards cities in search of livelihood.
''Sugarmills are closing shop, while there is unprecedented increase in the number of slaughter houses in the state.'' The KM meeting will also give a call for the ouster of Mulayam Singh Yadav government in the state. ''Caste-based politics is on the rise, while the 'business' of ranson-kidnapping is flourishing.'' The BJP leader exhorted party workers to gear up for the assembly elections, ''which may take place any time''.
