100-yr-old celebrates 78th wedding anniversary

Betul, MP, June 6 (UNI) A man here celebrated his 100th birthday as well as 78th wedding anniversary with his relatives and neighbours.

Mr Durgashankar Srivastava and his 94-year-old wife Sona Devi yesterday cut the cake to mark the completion of 78 years of a successful marital life.

He felt no other couple had a similar achievement in their kitty.

A former teacher, Mr Srivastava follows discipline in daily routine and is still hale and hearty. According to him, addiction takes away happiness from one's life and increases problems.

His family, including grandchildren and great grandchildren, has 64 members.
