Chennai, June 3 (UNI) Janata Party President Subramanian Swamy today said AICC president Sonia Gandhi should emulate valiant Tamil heroine Kannagi by bringing to book banned LTTE leader Prabhakaran to avenge the killing of her husband and late Prime Minister Rajiv Gandhi.

In a statement here, Dr Swamy said like Kannagi, who had avenged her husband's killing, Ms Gandhi should also avenge the death of her husband who was killed by a LTTE suicide bomber during an election meeting at Sriperumbudur in May 1991.

He welcomed the DMK president and Tamil Nadu Chief Minister K Karunanidhi's gesture to reinstall Kannagi statue, which was removed by the previous AIADMK regime, at its original place in Marina and said he should not stop with that.
