Heavy rains likely in most parts of the country

Pune, June 03 (UNI) The southwest monsoon has been vigorous in Konkan and Goa.

In the regions where the southwest monsoon is yet to set in,day temprature were above normal in some parts of Jammu and Kashmir.

They were appreciably to markedly below normal in north Gangetic West Bengal,Uttar Pradesh,Uttaranchal,Haryana,Punjab,Rajsthan,Madhya Pradesh,north Madhya Maharshtra,Marathwada,Vidarbha,Telangana and in some parts of Jharkhand and were below normal in some parts of interior Orissa and of Chattisgarh.They were normal over the rest of the country.

Heavy rains are likely to occure at most places in Sub-Himalayan West Bengal and Sikkim,Konkan and Goa,coastal Karnataka and Lakshadweep and at many places in Kerala.

Rain or thundershowers are likely to occure at most places in Arunachal Pradesh,Assam and Meghalaya,Nagaland,Manipur,Mizoram, Tripura,interior Karnataka and Andman and Nicobar Islands and at few places in Gangetic West Bengal,Orissa,Jharkhand,Bihar,east Uttar Pradesh,east Rajasthan,west Madhya Pradesh,Gujrat State,Madhya Maharashtra and Rayalseema and at isolated places in west Uttar Pradesh,Uttaranchal,Haryana,Punjab,Himachal Pradesh,Jammu and Kashmir,east Madhya Pradesh,Vidarbha,Chattisgarh,Marathwada,coastal Andhra Pradesh,Telangana and Tamil Nadu.
