VIA Technologies launches VIA EPIA CN Series motherboard

New Delhi, June 2 (UNI) Chipmaker VIA Technologies Inc, today announced the launch of its VIA EPIA CN-Series Mini-ITX motherboards, the latest in the range of VIA C7 processor-based ultra compact platforms boasting an average power consumption of just 16 watts.

''The VIA EPIA CN mainboard is a model embedded space workhorse that makes possible rapid development for a wide spectrum of applications,'' said VIA Technologies Inc Head of VIA Embedded Platform Division Daniel Wu.

Based on the advanced VIA CoolStreamT Architecture and manufactured using 90nm process, the VIA C7 processor together with the VIA EPIA CN mainboard offers a highly energy efficient platform that includes VIA PowerSaver 3.0 technology and reduces memory power consumption by over 50 per cent through DDR2 support.
