Train services on Konkan Railway route badly affected

Mumbai, June 2 (UNI) In view of the incessant rains in the Konkan region for the past 48 hours, trains running on Konkan Railways have been affected badly as most of the trains are either late or rescheduled.

Konkan Railway sources informed today that as many as six trains have been rescheduled and many other trains are running late by two to 19 hours.

The following trains are running behind schedule: 0103-Dn, Mandavi Express scheduled for today has been rescheduled to 1500 hours, KR 4 Ratnagiri-Dadar passenger has been rescheduled to 1030 hours instead of its normal departure time 0610 hours and 2620 UP Matsyagandha Express of yesterday rescheduled at 1130 hrs today.

0104 Madgaon-CSTM Mandavi Express of today rescheduled at 1800 hrs, 0112 UP Konkankanya Express and 2619 DN Matsyagandha Express of today are likely to be rescheduled.

The 0103 Dn Mandavi Express is running 19 hours late, 0111 CSTM-Madgaon Konkankanya exp is running seven hrs 40 minites behind schedule, 2617 Ernakulam-Nizamuddin Mangala express of yesterday running two hours late, 2619 LTT-Mangalore Matsyagandha express of yesterday also running 13 hours late.

Three other long distance trains left yesterday from their originating stations - 6346 Trivandrum - LTT Netravati express running eight hours late, 2618 Nizamuddin-Ernakulam Mangala Express by three hours late and 6333 Veraval-Trivandrum express running eighteen hours behind schdule.

The 6345 LTT-Trivandrum Netravati Express is, however, expected to depart at the right time today.

The Konkan Railways has urged passengers to call on helpline number 10722 for any inquiry.
