Three terrorists killed in Nagpur identified as Pakistanis

Nagpur, June 2 (UNI) Three militants, who were gunned down while attempting to attack the RSS headquarters here yesterday, have been identified as Pakistanis, according to CID sources.

Two of three ultras belonged to Lahore and the third hailed from Gujranwala in Pakistan, the sources said.

The terrorists have been identified as Afzal Ahmed Butt, Bilal Ahmed Butt (both residents of Lahore) and Mohammed Usman Habib (Gujranwala), they said.

The terrorists were camping in the city for the last three days before making an abortive attempt to blow up the RSS building in Mahal area here yesterday.

Meanwhile, security has been beefed up around the RSS headquarters. A number of RSS and BJP leaders have been visiting the site, just 30 feet away from RSS headquarters, where the encounter between police and militants.

All the visitors lauded the police personnel who foiled the attempt of the militants to attack the RSS building with highly explosive material.

The postmortem of the bodies was performed at Government College hospital, but the details of the report have not been made available to media so far.
