Swamy hails Maharastra police
Chennai, Jun 2 (UNI) The attempt by suspected Lashkar-e-Toiba terrorists to blow up the RSS headquarters at Nagpur should be an eye-opener to all patriotic Indians and Hindus in particular, Janata Party President Dr Subramanian Swami today said.
In a statement here, he said the attempt was part of the overall objective to ''de-mean, demoralise and overpower Hindu ethos'' of India and urged the Centre to ''give up its policy of appeasement of terrorists.'' However, the aim of the terrorists had misfired because of the intelligence and alertness of Maharashtra police, Mr Swami said.
Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) Tamil Nadu unit President C P Radhakrishnan, condemning the incident, urged the Centre to be more vigilant and prevent such incidents in future.
He congratulated the Maharashtra police for being alert and foiling the terrorist's attempte.
