SP MLA Haji Mushtaq Solanki dead

New Delhi, June 2 (UNI) Samajwadi Party MLA Haji Mushtaq Solanki died of serious Pancrea infection at a private hospital here today.

He was 52.

Mr Solanki died of 'Acute Pancreatitis' at around 1230 hrs, sources at Sir Ganga Ram Hospital said.

He had been admitted to the hospital on May 25.

Mr Solanki was a two-time MLA from Aryanagar Assembly constituency in Kanpur, Uttar Pradesh.

His body would be taken to Kanpur. The burial would take place at Barhi Idgah there tomorrow morning.

Meanwhile, Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Mulayam Singh Yadav has condoled Mr Solanki's death.

In his condolence message, the Mr Yadav said Mr Solanki was a very popular leader and would be remembered for his contribution to the society.

Several other SP leaders including ministers also condoled his death.
