Report sought from Delhi Govt over non-supply of Urdu books

New Delhi, June 2 (UNI) Taking suo motu cognizance of media report about non-availability of urdu books and non-appointment of Urdu teachers in Delhi schools, the National Commission for Minority Educational Institutions has issued a notice to the Delhi Government.

The Government's inaction in providing Urdu books and filling Urdu teachers' vacancies for the last eight years was tantamount to violation of the educational rights of the minorities guaranteed under Article 30 of the Constitution, the Commission said here today.
