Rahul Mahajan critical, Mahajan's key aide dead

New Delhi, June 2 : Late BJP General Secretary Pramod Mahajan's son Rahul was admitted to the Intensive Care Unit (ICU) of a private hospital for suspected food poisoning, a month after the death of his father.

Mr Mahajan's key aide Vivek Moitra was brought dead to the hospital.

BJP Spokesman Prakash Javadekar, who is presently in Hyderabad, said Rahul was rushed to the ICU of the Apollo Hospital under serious condition and he didn't have much details.

The hospital is expected to come out with a medical bulletin in a short time.

Sources said Rahul and Mr Moitra had arrived from Indore last evening and they suspect something had gone wrong after they partook their dinner and probably liquor also.

They were to leave for Assam to immerse Mr Mahajan's ashes in Brahmaputra because Assam elections were the last important assignment handled by him before his death.

Mr Mahajan had succumbed to the gunshot wounds inflicted by his brother Pravin Mahajan on May 3.
