Chandigarh, June 2 (UNI) The Metro project from the Qutab Minar to Gurgaon, which ran into rough weather due to concern for the safety of the monument, has been cleared and the Haryana government would share 80 per cent of the Rs 688 crore rail link.

The No Objection Certificate (NOC) has been received from the Central government with regard to this corridor of the Metro project, Chief Minister Bhupinder Singh Hooda told reporters after a cabinet meeting here today.

The cost of rolling stock, Rs 118 crore, would be borne by Delhi Metro Rail Corporation Limited (DMRCL), he said.

The Delhi Metro Link to Gurgaon would form a part of Delhi Metro network and its implementation and subsequent operations would also be done by DMRCL.
