Police does not rule out foul play

New Delhi, June 2 (UNI) Not ruling out foul play, Delhi police said they were trying to trace the three men who had champagne with Rahul Mahajan and Bibek Moitra at late Pramod Mahajan's bungalow here early today.

''At this stage all options are open (in the probe),'' Additional District Commissioner of Police Manish Agarwal said while speaking to reporters this evening.

The three men were known to Mr Moitra, who went out of the house to personally receive them when they arrived at around 2315 hrs last night.

Two of them went out of the house at around 2345 hrs and returned 30 minutes later, three domestic servants subjected to intense interrogation told police.

They also revealed that the three men were present when Rahul and Mr Moitra were being sent to hospital in two separate cars.

They said they had not seen the men before.

While refusing to share details of the probe, he informed that police had sought the help of Mr Mahajan's friends, including his close lieutenant Sudhanshu Mittal, to ascertain the identities of the three men.

He said different teams of forensic experts carried out investigations at Mr Mahajan's 7, Safdarjang Road bunglow and in the hospital where Mr Moitra was brought dead and Rahul was admitted in serious condition.

Toxicological and narco analysis test reports were awaited.

Police had also not received a report of Mr Moitra's post-mortem.

A case under Section 174 of the CrPC (suspicious death) had been registered.

He repeated that the hospital security personnel informed police about the crime at 0500 hrs and by the time police arrived at the residence, the crime scene had been ''disturbed''.

The glasses in which they had consumed champagne was washed and the liquor bottles kept back in the fridge. To a question, the officer said Rahul and Mr Moitra did not have food last night.
