Paswan and Lalu on warpath over hospital's location

Patna, Jun 2 (UNI) Union Chemicals, Fertilizer and Steel Minister Ram Vilas Paswan today fumed over Railway Minister Lalu Prasads act of shifting the location of Super Speciality Hospital of East Central Railway (ECR) from Hajipur to Patna.

Mr Paswan told reporters here that in the capacity of a railway minister, he had proposed to establish the hospital at Hajipur but he was unaware of the facts what prompted the present railway minister to change the site to Patna.

''Such hospitals are usually established in the town where zonal headquarters are located and in the present case, Hajipur was the natural choice since ECR's headquarters is siuated there'',he argued.

''Whether headquarters of ECR had shifted to Patna'', he asked wryly.

''I had written a letter to the Railway Minister in this regard'', Mr Paswan added.

He said that he represented Hajipur constitueuncy in Lok Sabha and hence it was incumbent upon him to protect interests of people of the constituency.
