MRPL suffers net loss of Rs 29.5 cr in Q4

Mumbai, June 2 (UNI) ONGC's subsidiary Mangalore Refinery&Petrochemicals Ltd (MRPL)has posted a net loss of Rs 29.50 crore for the quarter ended March 31, as compared to net profit of Rs 31.08 crore for the same quarter the previous fiscal.

Announcing the results, the company said its total income has increased from Rs 5,292.84 crore in Q4 FY-05 to Rs 6,415.38 crore for Q4 FY-06.

It has posted a net profit of Rs 371.61 crore for the year ended March 31, as compared to Rs 879.75 crore for FY-05. Total income has increased from Rs 18,694.76 crore in FY-05 to Rs 25,044.32 crore for FY-06.

The company's board has recommended a dividend of seven per cent on the equity share capital and 0.01 per cent on the preference share capital for the year ended March 31.
