MP Govt announces Rs 10 lakh reward for Nagpur policemen

Bhopal, June 2 (UNI) The Madhya Pradesh Government today announced Rs ten lakh reward for the Nagpur policemen, who foiled a terrorist attack on the RSS headquarters in that city yesterday.

Chief Minister Shivraj Singh Chouhan sanctioned the amount from his discretionary fund. The draft for the amount is being sent to the Nagpur Police Commissioner an official release said here today.

Three terrorists made a vain attempt to blow up the RSS headquarters yesterday morning but were shot dead by an alert police ferce.

Meanwhile, a Rs one lakh reward was announced for police personnel, who apprehended criminals, who had attempted to commit a dacoity at the residence of former Rajya Sabha member late D K Jadhav recently.

The reward had been sanctioned from the Chief Minister's discretionary fund.

The draft for the amount was being sent to Superintendent of Police, Gwalior.

Inspector General of Police (Gwalior range) Sanjay Rana said the three police personnel will be given out of turn promotion.

The policemen had shot dead a criminal during an encounter while the three culprits were fleeing after committing the dacoity. Two other accused were arrested, the release added.
