Moderate-intensity earthquake hits Andaman Islands

New Delhi, June 1 : A moderate-intensity earthquake hit the Andaman Islands at 0025 hrs IST today.

The quake, measuring 5.0 on the Richter scale was epicentered at an area located between 11.3 degree North Latitude and 92.8 degree East Longitude, India Meteoroligical Department said here.
