Kalam condoles Wullar tragedy
Srinagar, Jun 2 (UNI) President A P J Abdul Kalam today offered condolences to the families of school children who drowned in the Wullar Lake in north Kashmir's Baramulla district on May 30.
In a message to Jammu and Kahsmir Chief Minister Ghulam Nabi Azad, the President said, ''I am deeply saddened to learn about the Wullar Lake boat tragedy in which a number of children and their teacher lost their lives.'' ''I am sure the state government is providing all possible help to the families who have lost their dear ones,'' Dr Kalam added.
The President conveyed his heartfelt condolences to the families of the dead children and prayed to God to grant them strength to bear the irreparable loss.
