JK: Unclaimed parcel causes panic in Nishat area

Srinagar, June 2: Panic gripped Mughal garden Nishat area on the bank of the famed Dal Lake when an unclaimed parcel was noticed on the main road today by a patrol party.

The area was immediately sealed and all the civilians were taken to safe place and traffic stopped on the road.

It is believed that militants had planted an Improvised Explosive Device (IED) to target security force convoy on way to Leh.

The bomb disposal squad has been pressed into action.

Further details are awaited, the sources said.
