Srinagar, Jun 2 (UNI) The Jammu and Kashmir government has initiated several measures to revive sick industrial units set up with the financial assistance provided by Khadi and Village Industries Board (KVIB) in the state.

In this regard, services of experts from the National Institute of Fashion Designs and Technique (NIFDT) were being obtained, an official spokesman said today.

The experts would impart one-month training to local artisans and unemployed youth in improved designing, artisans, development of products and packaging.

The Board provides financial and technical assistance in reviving traditional trades such as setting up water mills, bee keeping, pottery, blanket weaving and stone crushers.
