Srinagar, Jun 2 (UNI) The Jammu and Kashmir High Court today once again pulled up the CBI for ''going slow'' in the investigations into the sex racket case and directed for personal appearance of the agency Director at the next date of hearing on June 6.

Giving several directions on a public interest litigation (PIL) filed by the Kashmir Bar Association (KBA), a division bench comprising Justice Hakeem Imtiyaz Hussain and Justice Bashir Ahmed Kirmani, expresed unhappiness over the slow speed of the CBI in investigating the scandal.

The court asked the CBI Director to be present in person on the next date of hearing in the case on June 6 and explain the slow pace of investigations into the sex racket and suggest measures to expedite the probe even as some fresh material has also come on record in the case.

The central government advocate was directed to facilitate the personal appearance of the CBI Director on the next date of hearing.

It was for the first time today that an in-camera trial in the case was held.

The court also came down heavily on the CBI for its failure to record full statement of the alleged kingpin of the sex racket, Sabeena, and directed the premier investigating agency to complete it by the next date of hearing.

The bench also formed a Commission of two lawyers and a lady doctor, who will be nominated by the Director Health Services, Kashmir, to examine Yasmeena, one of the victims of the sex racket, and report about her condition to the court by the next date of hearing in the case.
