Heavy to very heavy rains likely

Pune, June 2 (UNI) The southwest monsoon has futher advanced into some more parts of north Arabian sea and some parts of south Gujarat State.

The southwest monsoon has been aqctive in Assam and Meghalaya, Konkan and Goa, coastal Karnataka.

In the regions where the southwest monsoon is yet to set in,day temprature were appreciably above normal in some parts of Orissa, Uttaranchal and were above normal in some parts of Haryana, Saurashtra and Kutch. They were appreciably to markedly below normal in Gujrat region, north Madhya Maharashtra, Marathwada, Vidarbha and in some parts of Rajsthan and Chattisgarh and in remaining parts of Saurashtra and Kutch. They were normal over the rest of the country.

Heavy to very heavy rains are likely to occure at most places in Gujrat State, Konkan and Goa and coastal Karnataka.

Heavy rains are likely to occure at most places in Arunachal Pradesh, Assm and Meghalaya, Nagaland, Manipur, Mizoram, Tripura, Sub-Himalayan West Bengal and Sikkim, Madhya Maharashtra and Kerala.

Rain or thundershowers are likely to occure at most places in Lakshadweep and at many places in Gangetic West Benagl, Orissa, east Rajasthan, interior Karnataka, Andman and Nicobar Islands and at a few places in Jharkhand, Bihar, west Rajasthan, Madhya Pradesh, Chattisgarh, Marathwada, Andhra Pradesh and at isolated places in Uttar Pradesh, Uttaranchal, Haryana, Punjab, Himachal Pradesh, Jammu and Kashmir, Vidarbha and Tamil Nadu.

Heavy to very heavy rains have occured at most places in Gujrat Region and at many places in Assam and Meghalaya and at a few places in Saurashtra and Kutch.

Heavy rains have occured at most places in Konkan and Goa, coastal Karnataka and at many places in Madhya Maharashtra and at a few places in Nagaland, Manipur, Mizoram, Tripura.

Very light rains have occured at isolated places in west Rajasthan, Telangana and Tamil Nadu.

Rain or thundershowers have occured at most places in Sub- Himalayan West Bengal and Sikkim, Lakshadweep and at many places in east Rajasthan, north interior karnataka, Kerala and at a few places in Arunachal Pradesh, Gangetic West Benagal, Orissa, Jharkhand, Bihar, Madhya Pradesh, south interior Karnataka, Andman and Nicobar Islands.
